A copy of our report is (or will be) available from the Will County Clerks Office, Joliet, Illinois and the Illinois State Board of Election. Any cost resulting from information gathering is the responsibility of the seeker. Monetary Contributions

The Plainfield Township Democratic Organization welcomes monetary contributions to help assist the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization. Every dollar raised helps to build the local Democratic Organization. Donations will be spent locally; assisting Plainfield Township related Democratic Candidates to elected office. Donations to Democratic candidates are made with approval of the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization membership. A very small portion of donations collected are used for Plainfield Township Democratic Organization's operating expenses, including this website. All contributors must confirm that the following statements are true. Contributions made by hand, via the USPS or online will not be accepted by the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization if the following if any of the following is found to falsified:

“This contribution is made knowingly and voluntarily from my own funds, not those of another and the contribution is not controlled by another individual or made from the proceeds of a gift given to provide funds to be contributed. This contribution is not made from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organization, or national bank. I am not a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status in the U.S., nor do I personally contract with the federal government for personal services or the sale of goods, land, or buildings. I affirm that this contribution is made on a personal credit card for which I have the legal obligation to pay or personal bank account, and not through a corporate or business entity card or bank account, including the card or bank account of another. I affirm that I am over the age of 18 years of age.

Federal law requires political committees to be able to make a best effort to report the name, address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate to excess of $200 in a calendar year. The State of Illinois requires us to list a Contributor's donation, along with address and phone number, in excess of $150 on our required D-2 reports to the Illinois State Board of Elections.  Your contribution will be used in connection with Plainfield Township related election / campaign activities and is subject to the limits and prohibitions of  Federal / State Election Campaign laws and regulations.


The Illinois Campaign Financing Act applies to all candidates for public office, groups of candidates or political action committees who have accepted contributions or made expenditures in excess of $3,000 in support of or in opposition to a candidate or candidates for public office or any question of public policy to be submitted to the voters.
All committees which receive or spend in excess of $3,000 must file a D-2, Report of Campaign Contributions and Expenditures  within 10 business days. Plainfield Township Democratic Organization's financial disclosure statements are on file w/ the Illinois State Board of Elections and the Will County Clerk.

The Plainfield Township Democratic Organization, a political organization listed under Section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code, also reports annual financial statements to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Illinois Department of Revenue, if required.

Contributions to the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.

Contributions to assist the fundraising efforts of the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization are also accepted via the USPS at our address: P.O. Box 873 -- Plainfield, IL 60544

The Plainfield Township Democratic Organization, members or officers are not responsible for any unauthorized misuse of this website for fraudulent online fundraising efforts. The Plainfield Township Democratic Organization will assist law enforcement in the apprehension, arrest and conviction of any individual or individuals who misrepresent themselves as being associated with the Plainfield Township Democratic Organization, if so requested.
